Judgment
Deepak Gupta, J.—The Petitioner, by means of this petition, prays that the posts of Librarian (College Cadre), which are to be filled in from amongst the Assistant Librarians, be directed to be filled in on the basis of the existing Recruitment and Promotion Rules.
The Respondent-State in its reply has not stated that Rules have been amended or are being amended. All that is stated is that out of 18 posts of Librarian (College Cadre) which are lying vacant, only three are required to be filled in from amongst the Assistant Librarians.
Without going into any other controversy, since admittedly three posts of Librarian (College Cadre) are required to be filled in from amongst the Assistant Librarians, the Respondents are directed to ensure that the process of filling up these posts on the basis of existing Rules is started within two months from today and completed within three months thereafter.
With these directions, the petition is disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into any other question raised in the petition. The Petitioner will be free to agitate these points later on.
