Judgment
Anil K. Narendran, J.—This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner alleging that his wife Ms. Anju S. Pillai is under the illegal detention of respondents 3 to 5. On 9.5.2014, this Court directed the learned Government Pleader to get instructions and notice by Special Messenger was issued to respondents 3 to 5.
Today, the detenue appeared before us and we have interacted with the detenue. On a specific question put by us, the detenue has replied that she is coming from her parental home and she is not under any illegal detention of anybody, including respondents 3 to 5. She has further stated that she has no intention to go along with the petitioner and she wants to stay along with her parents in her parental home.
Our interaction with the detenue makes it abundantly clear that the alleged detenue is not under any illegal detention. In such circumstances, no writ of habeas corpus can be issued as prayed for in the Writ Petition. Hence the same is dismissed. No order as to costs.
