Petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus commanding respondent nos.2 and 3 to consider the case of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.
Facts, in brief, are that father of petitioner was appointed as Sweeper (Swachhakar) in the establishment of respondent no.3 on 04.03.1986; he was confirmed into service on 02.06.1986; during the course of service, petitioner’s father was promoted as Fitter Helper on 03.11.2008; petitioner’s father passed away on 29.07.2025 during subsistence of his service; petitioner’s mother moved an application on 06.10.2025 before respondent no.3 for providing compassionate appointment to petitioner; the said application is still lying pending; hence this petition.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent no.3 may be directed to take decision on the application dated 06.10.2025 seeking compassionate appointment in accordance with law.
Learned Senior Advocate appearing on behalf of respondent no.3 has no objection if such a prayer is allowed by this Court.
Accordingly, instant writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent no.3-General Manager, Bazpur Co-operative Sugar Factory Ltd., Bazpur, U.S. Nagar to take decision on the application dated 06.10.2025 (Annexure No.3) seeking to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
