It is pointed out by Mr. Goutam Kumar Acharya, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the Petitioner that there are airports both on Jharsuguda as well as recently in Berhampur and, therefore, the stand of the State as expressed in its affidavit dated 24th February, 2023 regarding provision of PET/CT Scan facilities in both places requires to be revisited.

Even as regards Balasore, since the distance by road both from Calcutta as well as Bhubaneswar is under 3 hours, the stand of the State Government even in regard to that city requires to be revisited.

On the other hand, Mr. L. Samantaray, learned Additional Government Advocate undertakes to file a further affidavit of the Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha who will once again review the matter in light of the above development. The said affidavit be filed in respect of all the three cities before the next date.
