By way of the instant writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for quashing and setting aside the impugned transfer order (Annexure P1) mainly on the ground that the place of transfer is his home town, hence, he may not discharge his duties properly and effectively.
After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be permitted to approach the respondentsGovernment by way of representation.
Mr. Adarsh K. Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, submits that though the transferred station is about 15 kilometers from the present place of posting of the petitioner, however, in case he makes any representation, the same shall be considered in accordance with the Transfer Policy occupying the field.
In the given facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition at this stage, with a direction that in case the petitioner approaches the respondentsGovernment within a period of one week from today, the respondentsGovernment may consider and pass appropriate orders, including modification of the impugned transfer order.
The writ petition is disposed of in above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous applications, if any.
