Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia, J.—Present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the election of Respondent No. 5 as Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, village Tappa Khera, Block Lambi, District Muktsar.

After hearing counsel for the Petitioner, this Court is of the view that for deciding the present writ petition, notice of motion can be issued only to Respondents No. 1 to 4.

Issue notice of motion to Respondents No. 1 to 4. On the asking of Court, Mr. Palvinder Singh, Senior DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on their behalf. A copy of the petition has been supplied to him.

It is stated that Respondent No. 5-Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat is in an unauthorized possession of the Gram Panchayat land and the Petitioner has submitted a representation (Annexure P-3), which is not being decided by Respondent No. 2.

In these circumstances, Respondent No. 2-Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab is directed to look into the representation (Annexure P-3) filed by the Petitioner, and decide the same in accordance with the provisions of law within three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

With the observations made above, present writ petition is disposed of.
