Judgment
Jaswant Singh, J.—Petitioners, who are both major in age and having solemnised inter caste marriage against the wishes of family members (Respondent Nos. 3 and 4) of Petitioner No. 2 have approached this Court u/s 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of protection as they apprehend threat to their life and liberty.
It is stated that though Respondent Nos. 3 and 4 are residents of D-102, Bansal Plaza Apartment, Station Road, Ranchi, but after coming to know about the marriage of the Petitioners, they alongwith other relatives came to the house of Petitioner No. 1 i.e. H. No. 6078, Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra and extended threats for having performed the marriage against their wishes. It is in this context, that protection is being sought.
At the time of hearing, learned Counsel for the Petitioners stated that by now the parents of the girl-Petitioner No. 2 have gone back to Ranchi and as such at present there is no imminent threat to the Petitioners. Permission is therefore, sought for withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to approach this Court as and when such an occasion arises.
Keeping in view the statement made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioners, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to Petitioners to approach this Court in case of any threat to their life and liberty at the hands of Respondents 3 and 4, for having performed inter caste love marriage.
