The petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No.115 dated 28.09.2020, under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Shambu, district Patiala.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is the BONAFIDE purchaser having purchased the land from Manpreet Singh in pursuance to an agreement to sell on 09.03.2012. It is alleged by the complainant, who is the uncle of Manpreet Singh that the land was in their joint ownership and Manpreet Singh had become the owner by forging the signature of his father, namely, Gurmeet Singh. He also contends that the petitioner has filed a suit for permanent injunction which is pending adjudication before the Civil Court.

This Court, by order dated 27.11.2020 had directed the petitioner to appear before the Investigating Officer and join the investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on ad-interim bail to the ------------ satisfaction of the Investigating/Arresting Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Hardev Singh, states that the petitioner has joined investigation.

In view of the above and the petitioner having joined investigation, the Covid-19 Pandemic, the order dated 27.11.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute.

However, the petitioner shall abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. He shall also join investigation as and when called upon to do so.

The petition stands disposed of.
