Judgment

The petitioners Kulwant Singh, Satvinder Singh and Talvinder Singh have challenged FIR No.118 of 2023, under Sections 147, 148, 427, 504 and 506 IPC, Police Station Khatima, District- Udham Singh Nagar. During the course of hearing, a compounding application has been filed along with the affidavits.
Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
According to the FIR, on 15.02.2023, the petitioners destroyed the crops of the informant, the respondent no.5; abused and threatened him to life. They also opened fire in the air.
Learned counsel for the parties would submit that the parties have settled the dispute amicably; they are the residents of the same village.
The petitioners are present before the Court. The respondent no.3 joined the proceedings through video conferencing. They are identified by their respective counsel. They have accepted the compromise.
Having considered all the attending factors, this Court is of the view that it is a case, which may be decided on the basis of amicable settlement between the parties. Accordingly, the petition deserves to be allowed.
Accordingly, the petition is allowed. The FIR No.118 of 2023, under Sections 147, 148, 427, 504 and 506 IPC, Police Station Khatima, District-Udham Singh Nagar, is hereby quashed.
Compounding Application No. 02 of 2023 stands disposed of, accordingly.
