Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant was suspended from service on 12.04.2017 and he is about to retire on 31.05.2025. He further submits that the applicant has filed a review petition before the competent authority. However, till date the said review petition has not been decided nor his suspension has been reviewed by the competent authority till date.
Learned counsel for the applicant submits that it will suffice if the direction is issued to the respondents to review the suspension period of the applicant and decide his review petition in the light of Medical Certificate issued by the Medical Board.
Mr. Numan Malik, GA appears for the respondents.
In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the applicant, the respondents are directed to review the suspension period of the applicant and decide the review petition especially in view of the opinion rendered by the Medical Board dated 12.12.2023 in accordance with law by passing a speaking order. This exercise is to be done within six weeks from today.
With this T.A. No. 1640/2021 is disposed of accordingly.
