Padmini Jesudurai, J.—The Petitioner who has been the owner of jeep, bearing Registration No. T.S.H. 4707 invokes the inherent powers of this Court u/s 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for a permission to produce the vehicle before the Judicial magistrate No. 1, Salem u/s 451 Code of Criminal Procedure so that the Petitioner might apply for interim custody u/s 451, Code of Criminal Procedure.

The vehicle had been used to abduct the complainant in Crime No. 662/90 pending investigation with the Respondent. The Respondent had not been able to seize the vehicle. The application is therefore filed to enable the Petitioner to produce the vehicle before the learned Magistrate. It is seen from the F.I.R. that the accused therein who are the employees of the Petitioner had committed offences under Sections 147, 148, 341 and 307 IPC. The victim was carried in the above vehicle and under these circumstances it is clear that the vehicle had been used to abduct the victim. Permission is therefore granted to the Petitioner to produce the vehicle before the learned Magistrate to enable him to remand the vehicle to judicial custody and pass suitable orders, if any application for interim custody is made by the Petitioner or anyone else. Ordered accordingly.
