Govind Mathur, J.—Permission is sought by learned Counsel for the Petitioner to implead the Superintendent, PBM Hospital, Bikaner as party Respondent No. 4. The request is allowed. The Superintendent, PBM Hospital, Bikaner is impleaded as party Respondent No. 4. Necessary inclusion is made by learned Counsel for the Petitioner in his own handwriting before the Court.

By short-term advertisement dated 27.2.2011 (Annex.7), the Principal, Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner invited applications from eligible desirous candidates to be considered for appointment to the post of Technician against 51 existing vacancies. The grievance of the Petitioner is that as a matter of fact no post of Technician at present exists in view of the fact that the post aforesaid stood amalgamated with the post of Lab Technician much back in the year 1982.

From perusal of the record, it reveals that a representation was given by the Petitioner-Union to the Respondents and that was considered by the competent authority. The competent authority referred the matter to the State Government with the opinion that the designation as given is required to be substituted by a Lab Technician.

The State Government in its turn under a letter dated 27.12.2010 instructed the Superintendent, PBM Hospital, Bikaner to take appropriate action at local level. It is submitted by learned Counsel for the Petitioner that no action is yet taken and the Respondents are proceeding with the process of selection under the advertisement dated 27.1.2011.

This petition for writ stands disposed of with a direction to Respondent No. 4 - Superintendent, PBM Hospital, Bikaner to take appropriate decision in pursuant to the document (Annex.5) dated 27.12.2010 issued by Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Department of Medical & Family Welfare Service, Jaipur expeditiously, as far as possible within a period of two weeks from today but prior to completion of the process of selection.
