Judgment
Pankaj Jain, J
By way of present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5.
Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Mr. Gaurav Bansal, D.A.G., Haryana appears and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.
As per petitioners, they got married on 20.10.2023 against the wishes of their parents.
Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Ajay is 1999 born and petitioner No.2-Nisha Rani is 2000 born.
Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Superintendent of Police, Karnal) to look into the representation dated 27.10.2023 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners.
Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 and 5 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably.
Petition stands disposed off.
Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
