Judgment
This writ petition has been filed for seeking the following relief :-
"To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 1, 2 and 3 to give police protection to the petitioners."
Today when the matter was called out, there is no representation for the petitioners. Mr. V.S. Rathore, learned Brief Holder is present for the State of Uttarakhand / respondent Nos. 1 to 3.
Learned Brief Holder submits that vide order dated 22.02.2017, this Court was pleased to grant interim order directing respondent nos. 2 and 3 to provide protection to the petitioners as against respondent no. 4. Learned Brief Holder also submits that in future, in case, if there is any threat from the respondent No. 4, petitioners may approach the 3rd respondent who will look into the complaint of threat to the petitioners and if it is found to be genuine, he will provide protection to the petitioners as and when required as against respondent No. 4.
Recording the said submissions of learned Brief Holder, we close the writ petition.
