This is the first bail application filed under Section 483 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of regular bail to the applicant who has been arrested in connection with Crime No. 693/2026 registered at Police Station Civil Line Rampur District Korba (C.G.), for offence punishable under Sections 109(1), 3(5) of BNS.

2.

As per the case of the prosecution, the present applicant along with one juvenile co-accused, inflicted injuries on the body of the injured by means of a knife on 24.07.2026. On such report, police registered an FIR for the commission of offence as stated above.

3.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the present applicant has falsely been implicated. He would further contend that injuries sustained by the injured were simple in nature, charge-sheet has already been filed, applicant is in jail since 25.07.2026, and he has no criminal antecedents. Thus, he would pray for grant of bail to the present applicant.

4.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the State would oppose the bail application. Ms. Ankita Shukla, Panel Lawyer would submit that the present applicant inflicted injuries on vital parts of the body of the injured using a knife. She would contend that as there are serious allegations against the applicant, this application deserves to be rejected.

5.

I have heard learned counsel appearing for the parties and perused the case diary.

6.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, nature and gravity of allegations levelled against the present applicant and fact that injuries sustained by the injured are not grievous in nature as per MLC, charge-sheet has already been filed, applicant has no criminal antecedents and he is in jail since 25.07.2026, I am inclined to allow this application.
