Ranjit Singh, J.—Aggrieved against the action of respondent No. 2, the petitioner has approached this court with a prayer that writ in the nature of mandamus be issued directing respondent Nos.2 to 4 to continue the degree course of undergraduate program in Hotel Management and further direction to respondent No. 2 or respondent No. 5 to provide degree to the petitioner on completion of the course. The petitioner took admission in the Program of Hotel Management of respondent No. 4. On 15.6.2010, the petitioner got himself admitted in undergraduate program. On completion of Ist and 2nd Semesters, respondent No. 4 issued marks sheet prescribing "Ansal Institute of Technology a Prestigious Venture of Ansal API". The marks sheet does not make any mention about respondent No. 2. When the 4th Semester''s study started, respondent No. 4 summoned the parents of petitioner and later issued a letter that they had reduced the course contents to the fit within the 300 remaining hours, so that the respondents are able to complete the course by the end of May, 2012. Accordingly, the respondents made out that they would award a diploma in Hotel Management. The parents of the petitioner sent reply to this. Respondent No. 4 is alleged to have started harassing the petitioner. The petitioner''s guardians enquired from respondent No. 2 by filing an application under Right to Information Act on 18.4.2012 and they have been told that Tilak Maharashtra Vidhya Peeth, being a Deemed University, cannot be considered as affiliated Center/College. The petitioner had made an approach to the police and now has approached this court with the prayer as already noticed above.

In my considered opinion, this court would not have an appropriate jurisdiction either to direct any Institution to continue any course or to issue direction that instead of diploma, a degree course should be run and the degree accordingly issued. Since the petitioner claims that his career has been ruined because of this action, he would be at liberty to seek compensation by approaching an appropriate forum in this regard. Dismissed.
