Heard Mr. CS Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. DC Saha, learned cousnel appearing for the respondent nos. 1 and 2.

By means of filing the instant writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for the following reliefs:

“a) admit this petition;

b) call for the records;

c) issue writ in the nature of mandamus calling upon the respondents to show cause as to why the petitioners should not be considered for appointment on promotion to TAAS Grade V under the promotion policy with all consequential service benefits with effect from the date of acquirement of eligibility for promotion;

d) issue writ in the nature of mandamus as to why the recommendation of DPC held on 09.08.2023 should not be acted upon for promoting petitioners to TAAS Grade V;

e) pass any other order/orders which your Lordship deem fit and proper;”

During the course of hearing, Mr. Sinha, learned counsel has submitted that his limited prayer is for a direction upon the respondents to publish the result of Departmental Promotional Committee examination.

In view of this, I direct the respondents to publish the result of Departmental Committee examination within a period of 3(three) weeks from today in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid direction, the instant writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
