Judgment
Sh. Abhay Singh, Complainant appeared in person.
None present from the Respondents side.
The Authority notes that the notice sent to the Respondents has been returned undelivered. The Authority also notes that an FIR No. 91/20PSEOW has been registered against the Respondents by the Economic Offence Wing (EOW), Delhi Police.
We direct DCP, EOW, to submit a status report on the progress made in this case by 31.05.2022.
The Authority further notes that the Respondents Society has been registered under the Society Registration Act. 1860 and therefore, it can not undertake housing as an activity. We direct Chief Secretary, Delhi to conduct an inquiry into the matter as to how the Respondent Society launched the housing project and collected money from members and submit a report before the 31.05.2022.
We also direct Chief Secretary, Delhi and DCP, EOW to be present on the next date of hearing through their Counsels or Authorised Representatives with reports aforementioned.
