The applicant against whom Disciplinary Proceedings have been initiated by virtue of Annexure A3 Memorandum dated 03.04.2020 has approached this Tribunal seeking various reliefs including directing the 3rd respondent to complete the disciplinary proceedings within a time limit.

When the matter was taken up, learned SPC for Lakshadweep Administration informed us that the Superintendent of Police has issued a directive to all the Officers who have been entrusted with the disciplinary proceedings to complete the Inquiry proceedings as expeditiously as possible and to submit the report.

Having considered this, we are inclined to dispose of the O.A directing the 3rd respondent to ensure that the Inquiry proceedings are completed strictly in terms of the directives issued by the Superintendent of Police. On receipt of the Inquiry proceedings’ report, the disciplinary authority is directed to pass final orders. The entire process should be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the report. Ordered accordingly.

The O.A is disposed of as above. No costs.
