The petitioner has submitted Ext.P9 representation before the Tahsildar [Land Reforms], the 2nd respondent herein, to initiate suo motu proceedings for issuance of purchase certificate to him in respect of the property covered by Exts.P1,P7 & P8. The prayer of the petitioner is for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P9 representation.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
The learned Government Pleader submits that the suo motu proceedings have to be initiated by the 1st respondent, the Land Tribunal.
In the facts and circumstances of the case and in the light of the submissions made across the Bar, there will be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider Ext.P9 representation of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of 12 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
