Translate:

1. This  Original  Application  under  Section  14  and  15  of  National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 (hereinafter referred to as ‘NGT Act, 2010’)has been registered suo-moto on a newspaper report published in daily newspaper Times of India dated 06.01.2024 under the title ‘Secunderabad complex fined for felling trees’.

2. Report said that a housing society in Bowenpally, Secunderabad State of Tenlangana has cut number of trees illegally, thereby, causing damage to environment. It is not clear as to whether any environment compensation has been imposed or recovered from violators.

3. Ms.  Devina Sehgal, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of

State of Telangana and stated that as per instructions given by forest department, fine has been imposed on the violators under the provisions of Forest Act and recovered. With regard to environmental compensation she wants time to place her response in the matter.

4. She prays for and allowed three weeks time to file response.

5. For the purpose of making record complete, we implead following as respondents:-

1. State of Telangana through Secretary, MoEF&CC;

2. Telangana, State Pollution Control Board;

3. Divisional Forest Officer, Secunderabad, Tenlangana.

6. Respondent nos. 1 and 3 are represented.

7. Let notice be issued to respondent no.2.

8. Since,  matter  relates  to  Southern  Zone  Bench  of  Tribunal,  let record be transmitted to Southern Zone Bench, Chennai for further proceedings.

9. List on  14.03.2024 before Southern Zone Bench, Chennai
